GUJO HACHIMAN, GIFU

Before dawn in late September, I began walking through Gujo Hachiman, a small castle town shaped by rivers, springs, and narrow waterways in the mountains of Gifu Prefecture.
From the blue morning air of “Igawa Ko Michi” to the Yoshida River in the evening light, I photographed daily life unfolding to the constant sound of water.
